NMB-Niyantrita Madhumeha Bharat Diabetes Control Project
MESSAGE FROM MINISTRY OF AYUSH
Based on the call by the PM to prevent India becoming diabetes capital of the world, the Ministry of AYUSH has set up the following national committee of experts in Yoga and Diabetes to work out the full details of the same.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE
Dear all,
Madhumeha Niyantrita Bharat (MNB) is one of the important mission initiatives of VYASA, Bengaluru to spread awareness about Diabetes and preventing diabetes among the Indians across the country for the well-being of the nation,using ancient holistic approach by Yoga. It is an ambitious movement to prevent India becoming “Diabetes capital of the World”.
The first Phase of MMB mission is organizing “Yoga Awareness Camps” throughout the country covering all 671 districts on October 2nd 2016, on the auspicious occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. Next plan is to start Yoga Therapy camps from November 14th 2016, the World Diabetes Day all over India and continue the specially developed Yoga based lifestyle program for Diabetes Mellitus and follow up for 3 months to begin with. We also plan to conduct a matched controlled rigorous multi-centric research trail in six regions of our country to be followed up for 3 months to begin with and for one year later on. In addition, from January 6th to 8th 2017, Ministry of AYUSH has planned to organize a highly professional International Conference on Yoga and Diabetes bringing top experts working in this field from India and abroad.
With a view to achieve the above objectives, we invite all of you to join hands and involve your centers, friends and well-wishers to help us in our mission of “Madhumeha Niyantrita Bharat”.
