Swami Santadas Institute Of Culture was established on August 7, 1977. Its aim is to disseminate the spiritual philosophy of India to the world and thus generate universal peace and harmony. To achieve this, what is urgently needed is concerted and organized work to educate the young minds from our society, to lead a life of all round development physically, mentally and above all spiritually and who can contribute positively to the nation’s progress, inspired by a spirit of self-less service. These young people in turn would spread the awareness of Yoga and Naturopathy to the larger strata of the society based on the teachings and guidance received under the detailed curricula.
The activities of the Institute have been divided under five heads, as follows:
1.Religion and the life of the spirit
The aim is to familiarise all with the essence of religion, the ends and the means of diverse religions and religious sects, pointing out their underlying harmony.
2.Education
The object is to impart proper knowledge on ancient Hindu philosophy and the benefit of Yoga as an all-embracing science. The objective is to create a talent pool of resources in the society, who can pursue independent career in the all encompassing field of Yoga and Naturopathy under the proper guidance and education imparted by the Institute.3.Yoga
The aim is to spread the knowledge of Yoga, theoretical as well as practical, and its use in curing diseases. If properly practised under a true guide or ‘Guru’ it helps in the full growth of a person – his body, mind and soul. The College caters to only some aspects of ‘Yoga-Asanas’, ‘Mudras’ and ‘Pranayams’ that help one to avoid or overcome physical ailments and attain stability and peace.
4. Medical Treatment
The purpose is to help people, suffering from diseases, through the establishment of health centres and hospitals.
5. Service to the Society
All kinds of humanitarian activities are included under this.
