The Sivananda Yoga Sadhana Intensive Course is a two-week residential course based on the ancient gurukula system of study in which teacher and student live together. The course, open to Sivananda Teachers’ Training graduates, is an in-depth and demanding two-week programme of classical hatha yoga, balanced by the study of classical scriptures. Students work towards eight hours of hatha yoga per day, doing intense and prolonged pranayama, based on individual self-practice. Students report experiencing a heightened level of consciousness, increased energy, sharpened senses, improved memory, clarity of mind, contentment and lightness of being.
