Yoga Healing Foundation is a Registered Charitable Trust run by a team of dedicated volunteers that delivers programs under the heading Traditional yoga. Traditional Yoga aims to protect, revive and disseminate original, undiluted and complete yogic knowledge (both theory and practice) in its purest form for the benefit of public wellbeing. The Traditional Yoga is committed to maintain the values and lineages of the Yoga traditions in order to establish health, happiness and peace within ourselves, each other and our environment.
General Activities in the Organization
Online classes through TY YouTube channel with a subscriber base of 23000 students. Sakshi TV daily morning program in local Telugu language for the last 4 years. Regular meditation retreats in summer and winter with 200 participants. Therapeutic Yoga classes- one course in a year. Free public workshops, seminars on diet, nutrition, asana, pranayama, mudras, bandhanas. Wholesome quarantine series to increase lungs capacity to fight with any kind of viruses.

2) Dr. ALV Kumar, an internationally acclaimed inspirational spiritual trainer and an award winning distinguished scientist is the soul behind this whole mission of conducting traditional yoga programs of this ancient lineage in the purest and undiluted form by adopting the most modern scientific approach for the benefit of yoga practitioners and teachers. These teachings encompass the entire breadth and depth of dharma and standards in yoga practices viz., asana, pranayama, discourses on dharma, diet, nutrition, exercise physiology, yoga therapy and advanced meditation practices.
It is the sheer energy, vision and selfless pursuit of Dr Kumar that helps in delivering different programs under the banner of Traditional Yoga. Dr Kumar’s wisdom is well informed by his extensive theoretical and experiential knowledge developed through his learnings in more than 37 Hatha yoga and 50 meditation traditions which evolved progressively through decades of self-practice. We offer a range of programs from beginner to advanced, to facilitate progressive practice on the path of yoga, duly conducted under the aegis and able guidance of Dr Kumar.
3) Certified Yoga Teacher training courses with accreditation from yoga alliance aimed at grooming teachers in collectives to disseminate our ancient spiritual technologies. The courses are aimed at achieving all the fitness parameters of yoga, viz. strength, stamina, suppleness, balance and endurance. Therapeutic oxidative asana and pranayama and ‘Anti gravity’ yoga Asanas (Yana Yoga) with preventive and therapeutic benefits, to be practiced slowly, gently and with full awareness and in zero resistance.
4) Yoga Alliance, the national education and support organization for yoga in the US has awarded ERYT-500 certification Dr. Kumar and RYS-500 certification to Traditional Yoga. The foundation offers Teacher Training Courses Beginners (RYT-200) and Advanced (RYT-500) under the auspices of Dr. Kumar as a part of yoga education and training program. The courses are conducted for the last ten years.
5) Delivering daily yoga programmes through TV channel/social media and conducting workshops in public places to reach out to the general public at large.
6) Conducting free seminars and workshops on fitness nutrition, dharma, diet, health covering a wide spectrum of target audience viz., Corporates, Universities, International Bodies and Government Departments etc.
7) Free summer public workshops – Yoga Healing Foundation conducts every year, a series of large scale free yoga health awareness workshops in public parks and outdoor spaces in Hyderabad each year, these are attended by thousands of people wishing to improve their health, well-being and to learn how to make improvements to their diet as the incidents of heart disease, hypertension and diabetes have raised sharply in India in the recent year. The Foundation has taught over 100,000 people in India as a public service focussing on the life style diseases.
8) Kayachikitsa, a system of yoga that was practised in the tradition of Narayana Swamy, the author of Hatha Yoga Ratnavali. This tradition was passed through his family lineage to Narayana Munindra, with whom Dr. Kumar studied. Yoga Healing Foundation under the auspices of Dr. Kumar conducted 21 day’s special training course in Kayachikitsa for the students in India. It is an ancient science focused on the treatment of physical mental illness. Imparting advanced ancient therapeutic healing practises of body based masso therapy techniques viz., Yoga Kaya Samvadana and Yoga kaya Samvahana which are far superior to pancha karma therapies of Ayurveda.
9) Meditation Retreats – Yoga Healing Foundation believes that it is essential for everyone interested in participating Raja Yoga to understand the purpose and context of each type of meditation technique, of which there are hundreds. Intensive meditation retreats are conducted as described by Patanjali in Yoga Sutras, including guidance in the stages of Samadhi and the path of purification, leading to profound insight and liberation.
10) Traditional Yoga offers 2 residential courses in a year
