Born as P. Salil in Chalakudy, Thrissur district, Kerala. His parents were Madhavan (an employee at Madura Coats) and Anandavalli (a teacher) .
Journalism & Spiritual Awakening
Initially, Salil pursued journalism after securing First rank from Kerala Press Academy and later worked at Mathrubhumi newspaper .
Gradually, he gravitated toward spirituality, traveling frequently to Haridwar, Varanasi, Rishikesh, and the Himalayas, and living in ashrams .
Entry into Spiritual Life & Juna Akhada
At the 2013 Kumbh Mela, he became closely associated with Juna Akhara. He underwent rigorous sadhana and initiation into Naga Sannyas in 2018 .
Juna Akhada is one of the oldest and largest Hindu monastic orders, with a lineage spanning more than 1,200 years and over 400,000 members .
Becoming Mahamandaleshwar
On January 26 (2025), at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, he was appointed as the Mahamandaleshwar by the Juna Akhada head, Swami Avdheshanand Giri — marking him as the first Malayali and third from Kerala to hold this prestigious title in Juna Akhada .
In his own words: “I am now able to accept everyone and everything as equal—albeit with a detachment I could not muster before” .

Secured Top rank in Journalism at Press Academy under Kerala University.
Spiritual Sadhana
Travelled many times across India as Parivrajaka and visited most of the Holy places.
Took Initiation to Sanyas from Naga Sanyasins- Juna Aghada- One of the largest and most prominent Monastic Orders of India propagated Different streams of Intense Hatha Yoga Sadhana
