My Bharath My Culture (Ancient Teachings for Modern Living)
My Bharath My Culture is a Chennai-based Yoga Institute dedicated to bringing India’s timeless wisdom into contemporary life. It offers structured courses in yoga, philosophy, scriptures, chanting, and cultural studies, helping seekers rediscover balance, clarity, and joy. The mission is to make authentic spiritual knowledge accessible to all, blending tradition with modern presentation so that ancient insights can guide everyday living.
Vision and Approach
The institute envisions a society enriched by honesty, gratitude, and perseverance, where individuals live in harmony with themselves and the world. By presenting yoga and philosophy as living sciences of consciousness, My Bharath My Culture emphasizes practical application, not just theory. Each program is designed to be simple, structured, and deeply rooted in tradition, while remaining relevant to modern learners.
Courses Offered
We teach authentic Yoga in its purest form — including Asana, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and Meditation — strictly following Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga without any dilution. Rooted in the great traditions, our focus is on preserving the essence of ancient Yoga while making it clear, structured, and accessible for modern seekers
Other Programs include Patanjali Yoga Sutras & Hatha Yoga pradipika, offered both as free introductory sessions and as a structured six-month paid course with guided chanting and study. Chanting courses explore texts such as Bilvashtakam, Guru Ashtakam, Guru Paduka Stotram, and Nirvana Shatakam, combining meaning with practice. Philosophy sessions cover themes like Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Evolution of Consciousness, Chitta – Layers of Mind, Hindu Cosmology and Modern Science, and The 25 Tattvas, helping participants connect ancient thought with modern inquiry. All offerings highlight clarity, rhythm, and reverence, guiding learners to experience yoga as a path of inner transformation.
Founder’s Note
The institute was founded by Balamurali B, an engineer turned yoga educator who left a 25-year corporate career to dedicate himself fully to spiritual teaching. Trained in multiple traditions— including Isha Yoga, Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, and the Bihar School of Yoga—he brings authenticity, clarity, and compassion to every program. His vision is to make complex scriptures simple and accessible, so that seekers of all ages can benefit from their wisdom.
Knowledge Resources
Learners are supported with free study materials, chanting guides, and philosophical notes. The institute also shares teachings through its YouTube channel and WhatsApp groups, creating accessible spaces for seekers to learn and reflect together.
