Get to know a little about the work of the Yoga Teachers Association.
IYTA – International Yoga Teachers Association, whose Headquarters are located in Sydney – Australia, was created to create a standard of conduct and professional and ethical training so that the teaching of the Science of Yoga is maintained in its highest level.
It has a Code of Ethics that it offers to teachers and practitioners and determines the direction to be followed by all those who intend to develop and preserve the study and practice of Yoga with the aim of achieving a common ideal.

In Brazil since 1975, the Entity was founded on July 1st by Profª. Maria Helena de Bastos Freire, its Honorary President and one of the pioneers of Yoga in the country.
Throughout this period, the Brazilian Chapter of the Association has prepared a large number of professionals through the promotion of the Yoga Teacher Training Course.
Holding Congresses, Lecture Cycles, Seminars and other cultural events with internationally renowned guests. It has annually brought together its members to discuss and study topics relating to the Science and practice of Yoga.
The Entity has several committees in the States of Brazil, representatives who publicize and promote activities in the area of Yoga, following basic precepts guided by the Headquarters in São Paulo, allowing a significant scope in the dissemination of this Science at a national level.
