The Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course is a month-long residential intensive based on the ancient gurukula system of study in which teacher and student live together. The internationally-renowned courses are held year round at our ashrams in locations perfect for the practice and study of yoga. Immersion into a yogic lifestyle is part of the practice and gives the student a powerful direct experience of the teachings. Rooted in the tradition of classical yoga the course offer an unparalleled teaching as well as a profound connection to an ancient yoga lineage. The student establishes a firm foundation of discipline that promotes physical, mental and spiritual growth and builds a strong base from which to teach others with confidence.
