Basically a Physicist having done M.Sc. in Physics; later turned to Yoga and Yoga philosophy and did my Ph.D in Yoga Philosophy.
- Have more than 30 years of professional experience in Yoga education, therapy and research.
- Started B.Sc. (Yoga) Degree Course in affiliation with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, from 2012-13; M.Sc.(Yoga), and Post-Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy (PGDYT) from 2019-20, and made all the educational programmes, professional and job oriented.
- Has imparted Yoga training and therapy to more than one lakh people of all sections of the society and has participated in more than 400 national and international conferences/ seminars and presented research papers. Have delivered more than 1200 Lectures/Lecture-cum-Demonstrations in India and abroad.
- Established Preventive Health Care Units of Yoga 20 CGHS Dispensaries at Delhi and NCR
- Have travelled abroad many times and represented MDNIY and Government of India.
- Member of several national and international committees/ bodies e.g. UGC, NCTE, NCERT, CBSE, SAI, AISC, ICCR, ICMR, Railway Board, Honorary Professor, India-China College, Kunming, China, and many more.
- Was the founder Secretary General of Indian Yoga Association, a self-regulatory body of leading Yoga institutions of India.
- Was Master of the Ceremony, giving Yoga instructions to masses, dignitaries, including Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, at Raj Path, New Delhi; Ramabai Ambedkar Stadium, Lucknow; Forest Research Institute Ground, Dehradun, and Prabhat Tara, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively.
- Worked for many WHO sponsored projects; was instrumental in getting MDNIY designated as WHO Collaborative Center in Traditional Medicine (Yoga) in 2013 for four years which has been extended for further period up to 2021. Holding the position as the Project Director of this WHO Collaborating Centre (IND 118).
- Known for contribution in developing standard evidence based Yoga protocols/curriculums in different diseases and Yoga courses.
