In view of SBV’s innovative focus, SBV AIM-HIGH (SBV academy of Integrative Medicine for promotion of Holistic Intervention towards General Health) was started at the inception with yoga and music therapy offered in hospital services.
This was taken forward and two designated centers for Yoga therapy and Music therapy, appropriately named as the CYTER (Center for Yoga Therapy Education and Research) and CMTER (Center for Music Therapy, Education and Research) respectively were founded in 2010. They were entrusted with the task of facilitating transformation of focus from pathogenesis to salutogenesis through various activities in realms of patient care, health professionals. education and research. Adequate infrastructure facilities were provided and eminent faculty members recruited to fulfill the vision and mission of SBV.
In 2022 these two centres were amalgamated into an Institute of Salutogenesis and Complementary Medicine having the Schools of Yoga Therapy (earlier known as CYTER) and Music Therapy (earlier known as CMTER) .
