Shri Om Prakash Tiwari
Shri Om Prakash Tiwari is a student of Swami Kuvalyananda, one of the few masters teaching pranayama practice with a classical technique, where the scientific outlook harmonizes with traditional wisdom.
He is humble man who does not try to prove anything, but with integrity sincerely passes on the through and practice of Yoga in the traditional way. He has also served on several government committees, working to bring Yoga into the education and health system of India.
As a selfless servant of humanity, he travels internationally passing on the practices, philosophy, and scientific understanding of yoga to students in every part of the world.
This devoted yogi lives a life dedicated to continuous practice, and his teachings flow from his deepest experiences in an undiluted way.
He is the Secretary General of the Kaivalyadhama Institute.
Dr HR Nagendra is the Vice Chancellor of SVYASA Yoga University. He has been the guiding force behind the VYASA movement. After receiving his doctorate in 1968, he served as faculty of IISc in Department of Mechanical Engineering. He then went to Canada as Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the University of British Columbia, Canada in 1970. From there, he moved to NASA Marshall Space Flight Centre, USA as Post-Doctoral Research Associate in 1971 and moved to Engineering Science Laboratory, Harvard University, USA as a Consultant in 1972. He served as Visiting Staff at Imperial College of Science and Technology, London later. In 1975, he joined Vivekananda Kendra, a service mission, as a whole-time worker. From 1986 to the present, he is the Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Research Foundation, Bangalore and the Director of Indian Yoga Institute, Prashanti Kutiram. From 2000 to the present, he has been serving as President, Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, Bangalore and from 2002 to present, he serves as the Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, the Yoga University in Bangalore. He has published 30 Research Papers in Engineering and more than 60 papers on Yoga. He has authored and coauthored 35 books on Yoga.

Dr. Mishra has done doctorate in philosophy from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He worked as Scientist at NDRI, Karnal, Senior faculty at NISIET, Hyderabad, the Chief Executive of Information Technology, Business Incubator and Centre of Learning and Education of GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi established at JSS Academy of Technical Education. He was Director of Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, UP, Lucknow (promoted by IDBI, IFCI, ICICI & Government of India) and Director, Behavioral Science at National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development, New Delhi. He worked for nine years as the founder Vice-Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Gayatrikunj-Shantikunj, Haridwar.He has taught M.Sc, Ph.D and Post-Graduate Diploma students and has been Ph.D external examiner of institute of repute & eminence like Tata Institute of Social Sciences, IARI, NDRI etc. He has published eight books and more than 40 articles. I He is member of various national-level organizations/institutions such as Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, CBSE, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi, JSS Mahavidyapeeth, Krishna Group of Institutes, different universities, voluntary organizations etc. He is also the Vice- President, Indian Yoga Association, New Delhi.
Smt. Hansaji Jayadeva Yogendra is the wife of Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra and daughter-in-law of Shri Yogendra, the Founder of The Yoga Institute. Hansaji, as she is fondly known, is the Director of The Yoga Institute. After her marriage to the President of The Yoga Institute, Dr.Jayadeva Yogendra, she was instrumental in making radical changes in the work done by the Institute. Her emphasis on spreading Yoga education to impact the lives of women led to the expansion of the Ladies Wing, more special classes for women, Pregnancy, Pre-natal and Post-natal camps, and the Menopause Women’s Camp. Hansaji’s teaching pays special attention to Isvarapraridhana (surrender to the will of God), which allows the individual to carry on regardless, even when complete understanding of events is not available. Hansaji has headed research efforts in the following areas that have been published in various forms: Reversal of Heart Disease, treatment of Asthma, Diabetes, and Orthopedic Disorders. Currently she is involved in research of Stress Management though Yoga for Mothers of Children Appearing for Competitive Exams’. She is also involved with the National Council for Education Research and Training together with Dr. Jayadeva to advise on formulating a Yoga education syllabus for schools nationwide. She has authored several print media and audio-visual publications, and also serves as the Yoga expert in the popular television series ‘Yoga for Better Living’.

Dr. Ishwar V. Basavaraddi is the Director of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, an autonomous organization of Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, since June 2005. Earlier, he worked as Lecturer and Head of the Deptt. Of Yoga, Karnatak University, Dharwad, Karnataka for 16 years. He has more than 24 years of professional experience in Yoga education, therapy and research. He has imparted Yoga training and therapy to more than 70,000 people of all sections of the society. Dr. Basavaraddi has M. Sc. in Physics and Ph. D in Yoga Philosophy. He has two Post Graduate Diplomas to his credit – one in Yoga Education and another in Computer Application. He has also got Yoga training for Advanced Yoga Sadhana at eminent Yoga Institutes under reputed Indian Yoga Masters. Dr. Basavaraddi has participated in more than 120 National and International Conferences and Seminars and presented research papers. He has delivered more than 1000 Lectures /Lecture cum Demonstrations and conducted Workshops in different academic Institutions in India and abroad. He travelled abroad many times and represented MDNIY and Govt. of India. He is a member of several committees of Govt. and NGO. He is the founder Secretary of Indian Yoga association a self-regulatory body of eminent Yoga Institutions. Now he is also serving as Director In charge of Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy. Several initiatives have been taken up under his stewardship to propagate and promote Yoga across the country and abroad.
